Contact Shepard’s to schedule a time convenient to you for one of our Relocation Coordinators
to discuss and identify your moving needs. Without ever visiting your home/office
or seeing the goods you want moved, a complete and accurate estimate cannot
be achieved. Estimates are free and are offered without obligation.
To help you anticipate the cost of your move, a very important step is you
identifying every single item to be moved. Don’t forget to go into the
attic, basement, garage, shed, closets and under beds. With your help, a clear
understanding about the amount of packing and other services required can be
agreed on. Anything omitted from the estimate but later included in the shipment
will add to the cost of your move.
Local Move (Intrastate)
Charges for local moving are usually based on an hourly rate. The hourly rates
vary depending on the amount of labor necessary for a move. A one-bedroom
apartment will require less labor than a four-bedroom house.
Long Distance Move (Interstate)
The cost of an interstate move is based on the weight of your belongings and
the distance they are shipped, plus the amount of packing and other services
that you may require.
International Move
The cost of an international move is determined by weight, volume and the ultimate
destination. Packing services must be performed by Shepard’s and are
included in these costs.
